At Studio Marcus Hay, Inc we love being handy with our Instagram and capturing the world around us, On recent trips and even at home we are constantly amazed by the combo of colors and how they resonate with each other. We have discovered a love of pinks, tan, browns and grays as a combo and found two complimentary images this month that speak to this. Marcus has an amazing collection of plates that line the walls of his kitchen and we found inspiration in this shot of these which include Rosenthal and Fornasetti plates. In San Francisco at a favourite hangout called The Mill, there is currently an exhibition of beautiful paintings by artist Gayle Walsworth called Nights of Love, The colors are so beautiful in these paintings. We continue our series of Color & Trend Forecasting section at Studio Marcus Hay Finding inspiration in color combinations all around us, we use Instagram to capture the above images. Top image: Coffee Culture: When in San Francisco, Studio Marcus Hay, Inc in the morning has to make a stop at The Mill on Divisadero for a much needed coffee and granola parfait. The bright hits of color in the the geometric graphic art against the crisp white subway tile feel clean and fresh. The space is flooded with Californian morning light and all seems at peace with the world in this wonderful place Middle image: Sunflower Burst: Sunflowers are a favorite at the studio and when we spotted this amazing arrangement of sunflowers and fennel flowers Outerlands in San Francisco set against a background of reclaimed wood, we were in love. We are loving the bright punch of the yellow and tangerine combined with the fresh spray of green grounded by Bisque tones of sun kissed wood Bottom image:Troppo Elements: Channelling the islands and getting into a paradise lost vibe, Studio Marcus Hay, Inc loves this palette of green and blue, most would know we are not shy of this combo. Paired with a hit neon ruby red, just a slither makes it even more exciting.
