More spreads Art Directed by Studio Marcus Hay have been filtering through the Fall catalogs of Williams Sonoma, Often although shooting and directing a main theme such as the apples program below, we can have some pages that are added on that are stand alone's. In Fall/ Autumn we of course like to celebrate Oktoberfest and Thanksgiving for example. Due to timing this year, Studio Marcus Hay worked on early Fall for Williams Sonoma but skipped the period where Thanksgiving was shot. Working heavily on the Christmas and Hanukkah programs, Look out for these pages soon on Fluff N Stuff.

It was great to have the opportunity to work with the very talented Prop Stylist on one of these spreads; Philippa Brathwaite. The rest of the spreads shown here were Art Directed and Prop Styled by S.M.H. We also love shooting with Photographers Anson Smart and Peden + Munk, Merliee Bordin and Alison Attenborough never fail to delight us with their Food Styling.

As we start to rug up, Winter is approaching, so enjoy the remainder of Fall.

A couple of months back, Studio Marcus Hay was asked by Williams Sonoma to Art Direct and Style the Apple Program for Fall, 14, Shooting in San Francisco, we got direct the team comprising of the amazing Photographer Anson Smart and very talented Food Stylist Merilee Bordin. It was a great team and we produced 2 weeks of solid work.

Like my recent Tomato extravaganza for Williams Sonoma, We shot everything you can think about Apples. We even shot a Apple I.D guide that can be viewed on the Williams Sonoma website.

The color palette largely existed of red, gray and contrasted with an ever slight inclusion of pale blue which really complimented the red of the apples.

Hope you enjoy our world of Apples.

Summer is almost here, At least it feels that way in NYC! A few months ago in San Francisco, I worked on this batch of images for Williams Sonoma for their Summer issues of their Cooks Catalog.

With the amazing Romulo Yanes we spent a week photographing Ice Cream, Milkshakes and Popsicles, As well as some exciting images for the Australian market (not shown here) for their new store in Sydney, Australia. Food Stylist Merilee Bordin did an extraordinary job of Food Styling, Ice Cream and things that melt quickly are never easy to work with.

For this section of the Catalog I wanted to use Icy pastel palettes that complimented the product that felt slightly nostalgic harping back to an era like the 1950's when Milkshake Bars existed. We found some great vintage Enamel and old 1950's laminate tables that where used throughout. It was a lot of fun.

The other 2 images here are of a cover I styled and some rubs/ sauces with Photographer Con Poulos and Food Stylist Alison Attenborough This was from an earlier trip but have just been featured, exciting to see my first Williams Sonoma cover!
