With an extension of their Outdoor Furniture Program for 2014, Design Within Reach have produced a Look Book on Ready Mag available for view on their website. It is a new format for them and is fun to view as you can slide through the whole book in one go. 

All of these images were produced in 2 separate Arizona trips that Studio Marcus Hay was asked to join where we styled both years, It is great to see this look book as many images shot here but not seen before are featured. 

Again, All these images are shot by the mazing DWR regular Jim Bastardo.

For another Trade Issue of the new Catalog, Studio Marcus Hay proudly received their issue today, Shot by the wonderful Jim Bastardo This very graphic cover is a favorite with it's clean lines, geometry and repetition. It is featuring the new Finn range designed by Norm Architects for DWR which is indeed a beautiful collection to work with.

For the latest Design With Reach Catalog, Studio Marcus Hay once again headed west to Arizona to help produce the new outdoor catalog that just hit the stores.

We had an amazing time in Arizona once again with the DWR crew, With wonderful photography by Jim Bastardo, It was a pleasure to be on this project and get to enjoy the Arizona landscape once again. 

I hope you enjoy the shots, We produced many sections this time including a "glamping" section (A glam camping story) and food truck story using the actual truck from the Rocket Pizza Co.

Just before the holidays, we came back from our second trip to Arizona where we shot another up and coming Summer Outdoor Furniture Catalog for Design Within Reach. Once again the beauty of Arizona astounded us all at Studio Marcus Hay. Its landscapes are breathtaking, not to forget to mention the sunsets and the Margaritas! Staying at The Valley Ho once again, The team revisited old haunts, We always love to go to Modern Manor in Phoenix and make a point of at least a couple of visits per trip, Manager Dom always helps us out!

Up at the crack of sparrows every day and with only half a day off, it is an exhausting trip after 2 weeks there but after we leave Arizona, we always miss it. One day I hope to go back and have time to explore the State a little further.

Hope you enjoy my pics, our locations this year were truly inspiring, we shot in a range of diverse locations covering a lot of ground around Scottsdale and Phoenix in particular. Once again Camel Back Mountain loomed in the background, One day I hope to climb that mountain!

It just makes me smile, This latest cover for DWR we shot in Arizona last Nov/ Dec. Who doesn't love a VW van? It was such a pleasure to work with this bright 1960's yellow one, Hello Little Miss Sunshine! 

VW's are such a classic, This model known as The Type 2 holds very special meaning to me, Back in 1970's it was my parents mode of transport when they traveled through Europe doing the Hippy groovy thang!, My first months alive were spent traveling with them and it was essentially one of my first homes.    

A magnet for nicknames, Depending on body type the Type 2 is also known as the Transporter, Kombi and Microbus, and informally as the Bus (US) or Camper (UK), is a panel van introduced in 1950 by German automaker Volkswagen as its second car model – following and initially deriving from Volkswagen's first model, the Type 1 (Beetle), it was given the factory designation Type 2, The concept for the Type 2 is credited to Dutch Volkswagen importer Ben Pon.

Although it's been over a week now and I find myself back in Australia for the Holiday's, I still can't quite forget the beauty and wonder of Arizona. Still fresh in my memory and the cactus spurs still under my skin, I wanted to share with you the remainder of my shots from this amazing State.

On location with Design Within Reach, Studio Marcus Hay had an amazing time in the desert and hope one day to have the opportunity to return.

Many of these shots were on location, It sure beat the drudgery of a studio with white walls to be able to glance up from work to see these amazing views.
