It's the time of the year, OK maybe a few days late on the Christmas Day front, but none the less, with New Years Eve looming, still a good excuse for a drink or three! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
These shots are featured in the current December issue of Food Network Magazine as a drinks supplement. Shot by the wonderful Charles Masters, www.charlesmasters.com, It was the first time I got to work with him and hopefully not the last.
It was a simple theme, Red, white and silver. The most challenging thing about a drinks shoot is making sure you have enough repeat glasses in the same design as drinks need to be shot quickly due to ice melting, garnishes falling, bubbles unfizzing and ingredients separating. You always have to have cleaned chilled glasses on hand to swap, It's a fast moving business and yes these are made with real alcohol, but no sipping between shots allowed although I did have to try and little drop at the end of the day, Hic!
